Terms & Conditions

These terms are the agreement between you and Barcode World, operated by S.S. Solutions, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India ("we", "us"), for your use of BarcodeWorldTech.com. By registering or using the website you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.

1. Who may use the service

The service is for businesses. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to act for the business you register. You agree to give accurate and complete information and to keep it up to date.

2. Your account

Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so tell us at once if you think someone else has used it. We may block an account after repeated failed sign-in attempts to protect it.

3. What we provide

• An account in which to record your business and your products.
• Review of your application and supporting documents.
• A plan that lets you assign barcode numbers to your products, up to the plan's capacity and for its period of validity.
• A barcode series reserved for your business, and a barcode image for each number in PNG and SVG form.
• A registration certificate, and public pages on which anyone can verify a barcode or a certificate.

4. Our numbers are not GS1 numbers

The numbers we issue are internal product identifiers, not GS1-issued GTINs, and we are not affiliated with GS1. It is your responsibility to check whether those you sell through will accept them. Our Disclaimer forms part of these terms.

5. Applications and documents

The documents you upload must be genuine and must belong to the business you register. We may ask for corrections or further documents, and we may decline an application that we cannot verify. No payment is taken for an application that is not approved.

6. Plans, prices and payment

• Prices are shown on our Pricing page and exclude GST, which is added at the rate in force.
• When your application is approved we raise an order. Your plan starts when we have confirmed your payment, and an invoice is issued.
• A plan allows a fixed number of barcodes for a fixed period. Unused barcodes and unused time are not carried forward or refunded when the plan ends.
• When a plan ends you cannot assign new barcodes until you renew. Barcodes already assigned remain registered to your products.
• We may change our prices. A change does not affect an order that has already been raised.

7. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellations and refunds are dealt with in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Using your barcodes

• The numbers issued to you are for your own registered products. You may not sell, lend or transfer them to another business.
• Each number belongs to one product. Do not put the same number on different products.
• Always print a sample and test that it scans before printing packaging or labels in bulk.

9. Your information

The business and product details you enter remain yours. You allow us to store them and to show the product name and your company name on our verification pages, as described in our Privacy Policy. You confirm that you have the right to use the names, brands and images you upload, and that they are accurate and lawful.

10. What you must not do

• Give false information or forged documents, or register a business or brand that is not yours.
• Use the service for products that are illegal, counterfeit or unsafe.
• Present our numbers or certificates as GS1 numbers, government approval or anything else they are not.
• Try to gain access to other customers' accounts, overload the website, or collect its content by automated means.
• Resell the service or the numbers without our written agreement.

11. Suspension and closure

We may suspend a barcode, revoke a certificate, or suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if information or documents prove to be false, or if the law requires it. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to put things right. A suspended barcode or revoked certificate is shown as such to anyone who verifies it. You may ask us to close your account at any time.

12. Our rights in the website

The website, its software, design, text and logo belong to us or to those who have licensed them to us. You may use them only to use the service. The barcode images we generate for your numbers are yours to use on your products.

13. Our responsibility to you

We provide the service with reasonable care, but we do not promise that the website will always be available or free of errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, as set out in our Disclaimer.

14. Your responsibility to us

You agree to make good any loss or claim we face because you broke these terms, gave false information, or used a name, brand or image you had no right to use.

15. Changes

We may improve or change the service, and we may update these terms. We will tell registered customers about significant changes. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated terms.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so that we can try to resolve any complaint. Disputes that cannot be resolved are subject to the courts at Guntur, Andhra Pradesh.
