Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information Barcode World ("we", "us"), operated by S.S. Solutions, Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, India, collects through BarcodeWorldTech.com, why, and what choices you have. We handle personal information in line with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

1. Information we collect

  • Account details: the name, designation, email address and mobile number of the person who registers, and a password, which we store only in a protected (hashed) form.
  • Business details: company and legal name, business type, GSTIN, PAN, industry, turnover, number of products, website, logo, registered address and the authorised contact person.
  • Documents: the files you upload to support your application, such as a GST certificate or PAN card.
  • Product details: the products you register, their images and the barcodes assigned to them.
  • Orders and payments: your orders, invoices and payment references. Card, UPI and net-banking details are entered on our payment gateway's pages; we do not receive or store your card number.
  • Technical records: your IP address, sign-in times and a log of important actions on your account, kept for security and to resolve disputes.

2. How we use it

  • To create and secure your account and to verify your business.
  • To review applications, start plans, issue barcodes, invoices and certificates.
  • To send you messages about your account, applications, payments and expiry dates.
  • To answer your questions and handle complaints.
  • To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud and misuse.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use it for advertising by other companies.

3. What the public can see

Our verification pages exist so that retailers and buyers can check a barcode or certificate. Anyone who enters a valid barcode number sees the product name and the company it is registered to, and anyone who enters a certificate number sees the company name and whether the certificate is valid. Your stock codes, prices, documents, contact details and payment information are never shown.

4. Who we share it with

  • Our payment gateway (Razorpay), to take and confirm your payment.
  • Service providers that host the website and deliver our email and text messages, who may use the information only to provide that service to us.
  • Government and law-enforcement bodies, when the law requires it.

5. Cookies

We use only the cookies the website needs to work: one that keeps you signed in and one that protects forms against forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as your account is open. After that we keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as invoices and tax records, for the period the law sets, and then delete it or make it anonymous.

7. How we protect it

The website is served over an encrypted connection, passwords are stored hashed, uploaded documents can be opened only by you and by authorised staff, and staff access is limited by role and recorded. No system can be guaranteed completely secure; please keep your password private and tell us at once if you suspect misuse of your account.

8. Your rights

You may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct or update it, to erase information we are not required by law to keep, and to stop using information you gave by consent. You can correct most details yourself under Company Profile and Account Settings. For anything else, write to us using the details on our Contact page. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights if you are unable to.

9. Children

This website is for businesses. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Complaints

If you have a concern about how your information has been handled, write to our Grievance Officer using the details on our Contact page. We acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Changes to this policy
