Some retailers, marketplaces and export markets accept only GS1-registered numbers. Check the requirements of everyone you sell through before you buy a plan or print packaging. We do not promise that any retailer, marketplace or authority will accept our numbers.

2. Barcode images and printing

Whether a printed barcode scans depends on its size, colours, print quality, the material it is printed on and where it is placed. Always print a sample and test it with a scanner before printing in bulk. We are not responsible for the cost of packaging, labels or stock printed with a barcode that was not tested first.

3. Information supplied by customers

Company and product details shown on our verification pages are supplied by the businesses that registered them. We check the documents a business submits, but we do not inspect, test or endorse its products, and a registration with us says nothing about a product's quality, safety, origin or legality.

4. Certificates

A certificate issued here confirms only that a business is registered on this platform for the period shown. It is not a government licence, a trade mark, a statutory registration or proof of ownership of a brand.
